Oesophagus Cancers

The Oesophagus is the swallowing tube or pipe which functions to carry food from the mouth to the stomach. We also called this gullet which is a part of our digestive system .

Types Of Oesophageal cancer

  •  The Lower Oesophagous Cancers are known as ACC (Adenocarcinoma). It is the cancer which locates in the connective tissues layer under the Mucosa.
  •  The Upper Oesophagus cancers are known as SCC (Squamous Cell Carcinoma) occurs when the cancer develops in the mucosa — the thin, flat cells lining the oesophagus.

  •  Smoking- Its one of the main causes of Oesophageal cancers.
  •  Alcohol- Heavy alcohol drinkers also have the higher chances of Oesophageal cancer.
  •  Hot Drinks And Diet- Hot Drinks may damage the lining of Oesophageus over the time and cause Oesophageal cancers.

Eating habits of Red Meat, processed food like Burgers, ham, Sausages may increase the risk of developing the cancer.
